JORDAN KEYS, D.O.

Jordan (she/her/hers) is currently faculty at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and is serving as director of the Osteopathic Medicine Center. She previously served as interim OMM department chair at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCCOM) in Vallejo, CA. She is board certified in Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine /Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.

She has a passion for learning about and educating future physicians on osteopathic medicine, structural considerations that contribute to health care disparities- including structural racism and LGBTQIA health care disparities and approaches to somatic trauma- currently completing an integrative somatic trauma therapy course through the Embody Lab.

She has had the opportunity to create curriculums related to structural competency and cultural humility. In her current position in New York, she continues her passion helping to hold space for inclusive programs and is always working towards creating safer, trauma informed, spaces for all.

She has spoken nationally on topics ranging from exercise is medicine, trauma informed care/systems to health care considerations in the LGBTQIA community. 

 

 

 LeTerrence “Keys” Keys, M.S.

LeTerrence “Keys” Keys (he/him/his) is a highly motivated and outcome-focused educator, mentor, and mental health advocate dedicated to empowering individuals to reach their full potential for social, emotional, and psychological growth. With a deep commitment to social justice and equity, Keys actively works to dismantle systemic barriers and create inclusive opportunities for marginalized communities. His work is rooted in a trauma-informed approach, ensuring that individuals receive the support and guidance they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

With a rich history of providing a strong educational foundation, Keys has made a lasting impact on clients and students, particularly those from underserved communities, imparting knowledge and fostering personal development. He has served for over 15 years as a guidance counselor for both middle and high school students and in a myriad of different educational and residential environments, offering mentorship that is both transformative and culturally responsive.

Keys’ journey is a testament to resilience and determination. Having experienced life as an at-risk youth in a disenfranchised community, he understands firsthand the obstacles that many individuals face. Through unwavering love and perseverance, he has transformed himself into a loving husband, devoted father, accomplished educator, professional athlete, loyal friend, and trusted mentor. His lived experience fuels his passion for mental health advocacy, ensuring that others have access to the resources, support, and encouragement they need to overcome adversity.

Currently, Keys is pursuing a career in mental health counseling and is currently in training as a yoga instructor, integrating mindfulness and holistic wellness into his work. His expertise in mentorship, trauma-informed care, and emotional intelligence allows him to connect deeply with those he serves, fostering resilience and long-term success.

Keys is known for his ability to build and maintain strong professional and personal relationships. He has cultivated a robust network spanning clients, students, parents, caregivers, colleagues, executive leadership, and program stakeholders at all levels. His commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion shines through in all aspects of his work, making him a valuable advocate for positive change in both education and mental health spaces.
